Highlight:
Hotpooling.
Trent had been waiting for the Tekapo Hot Springs from Bluff, while I had Hamner Springs on my radar.
Our first trip here was after the Naseby water race, the second after tramping the Travers-Sabine circuit. Definitely a nice place to relax after some big days.
Challenge:
Town days always seam busy:
- Getting clean
- Washing our whole wardrobe
- Eatting kai
- Checking weather, maps, trail notes
- Food shopping for the next section
- Getting any replacement gear and gas
- Updating blogs
- Seeing local attractions
Learning:
The Queen Mary Hospital, once treated shell shocked soldiers and later women with nervous disorder.
