Highlight:

My favourite highlight today was the mini kai we constructed in the Woodlaw Forest.
- Spinach wrap
- Over ripe avocado
- Salami
- Crispy noddles
- Mayo
- Hotsauce
There was also some light comic relief as Trent mispoured water, right over his pack. A pair of kererū watched on. My trail appetite has finally caught up on me. The food bags are near empty, ready for our next restock in Nightcaps.
Challenge:

While up hill has us exerting a tonne of effort, the descent stood out more, descending 250 m in a km with a 30% gradient at points. As Tom Petty sings:
Coming down is the hardest part
Learning:

Slash...the reminats of forestry.
