Highlight:

The joys of river life. A slow morning packing my bag before the Blue Duck cafe opened at 8am. Coffee with bacon & eggs, and utilized the wifi to sent Trent a I made it message. Did I mention there is power at the Whakahoro school house hut. All devices are at full battery power now! I let the tent dry out over breakfast, and packed it up just as our canoe arrived at 9:30.

It was a busy boat ramp with three different canoe providers unloading at the same time. And the couple who had transported my bag yesterday, with the rest of their group of 30.

Once on the river the day was pretty calm, with many but only small rapids. I was feeling tired once the afternoon rolled around. Wanting to have a nap, but not wanting to let my boat mate down. I just keeped paddling. A swim was in order once we arrived at camp, and a cup of wine to follow.

Challenge:

Feet are enjoying not walking. However they are incredibly swollen!

Learning:

Quite the show at John Coull hut kererū just of the deck. And Pekepeke right on cue at 9:10.
