Day 31: Tekapo canal
Highlight:
Easy walking on the Alps 2 Ocean trail this morning with cloud cover.
Challenge:
Marathon distance on mainly sealed road made for sore feet and legs with the camber of the road.
Learning:
The hydro scheme here (Tekapo A) was build during 1938-1951, and is operated remotely (likely from Hamilton). The big tank behind the generator in a surge tank.
