Highlight:
Walking up the Arrow River was beautiful. You can see why the South Island has the name Te Waipounamu with its clear rivers sparkling green.
Challenge:
Steep switchbacks following the more demanding section of the river, we took a snack break. The feat now was similar to a Mt Taupiri adventure with the Steingrimssons. 150m up, 4km, 2 hours of daylight. The pace didn't have to be fast, just steady I opted to carry small baby and take care. Trent reported to be carring Bjorn.
Learning:
Te reo of the day:
Masetown, small once was a minning town.
